Finally, someone who CAN pass a police exam.

Hopefully, Mr. Staton has the same ethics as his boss.

I don't know WHOSE sheriff he's supposed to be. Certainly not mine! A sheriff is SUPPOSED to be the highest elected official in the county.
NOBODY elected this guy - just another "sweetheart" appointment, in a long line, stretching back to 1990, when Skipper FIRST was appointed by Fred Pierce.
Then, after getting the first civilian in 15 years shot and killed by the Multnomah sheriff's office, Mr. Skipper resigns, immediately AFTER being actually elected, so he could get a higher pension.
In turn, he appoints John ("Mr. TV Cop") Bunnell (allowing him to claim "I'm sheriff John Bunnell" as part of his TV career).
Then, Skipper gets appointed AGAIN by Guisto (wouldn't you think that throwing the job back in the faces of the citizens, should have disqualified him from consideration?), and NOW, being too old and senile to qualify on the basic police skills test (which a half-witted chimp could pass), he in turn shoves the job on to this guy.
When I can actually get to VOTE for a sheriff, then I'll consider we have a chief law enforcement officer in trhis county. Not 'till then.
'Nuff Said!
