Le Sorelle Cafe shutting its doors, will throw final goodbye party

PORTLAND, Ore. - Le Sorelle Cafe at Southeast 89th and Foster is going out of business and as a final goodbye to its customers and supporters, they will be throwing a 'Thank You Party' on Friday, Feb. 26 from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. There will be free appetizers, reduced prices, fine wine and beer.

Owner Kelly Brouner said she has been at the location for nearly two years but there just wasn't enough foot traffic and the downturn in the economy just six months after she opened up shop didn't help either.

Brouner said a Japanese Sushi bar is slated to move into the spot. When asked whether she plans on opening up shop elsewhere, Brouner said perhaps sometime in the future she might think about it, but for now she plans to focus on wrapping up the final details of the closure.
